Who we are

Kristin and Stuart King — life partners, business partners, and OT/ICS specialists who came to cybersecurity through operations, not the other way around.

Why it matters

There's a gap between how security people think and how facilities actually run. We exist to close it — in food & agriculture, zoos, and aquariums.

Our story

We didn't start in cybersecurity. We started in operations.

AnzenSage was built on a simple frustration: most cybersecurity advisors speak fluently to IT departments and stumble badly in a food processing facility or an animal care wing.

We've been on both sides of that conversation. Before we were in security, we were in operations — working in zoos, food production, and environmental management. We know what it looks like when a SCADA system alarm goes off mid-shift. We know why a cold chain supervisor doesn't have time for a 200-slide risk assessment. We know that the person most likely to make or break your security posture isn't your IT lead — it's the floor manager who's been running that line for 15 years.

That experience isn't just background. It's the foundation of every engagement we take on.

Kristin King

Kristin's path to cybersecurity ran through gorilla research, zoo commissary operations, and food & CPG production before landing in OT/ICS risk. That unusual career arc is exactly what makes her useful: she's spent years in the facilities, on the floors, and in the rooms where the work actually happens.

She speaks operations as fluently as she speaks security — which means she can translate between the two without losing either side in the process.

Outside of work: World traveler, food obsessive, and firm believer that the best way to understand a place is to eat your way through it.

His focus is on translating complex technical risk into decisions organizations can actually make — no jargon, no unnecessary complexity, just clear guidance built on real-world experience.
